Forum needs more admins

Seaton, I think you could pick somebody from forum participants you trust and who is frequent on the forum and grant them admin privileges. This way they shall be able to delete spam topics (we currently have two of them).

Perhaps the admins could also move themes to the forums where they most belong - hardware to hardware, etc. Perhaps they could split big topics into subtopics.

Also you could create some forum called "Oddities" where the admins could move topics which are not spam but are unrelated to the main topic of the forum - like this one viewtopic.php?t=50

If you want to find the best moderators, the cheapest viagra or millions of $$$$$ from rich Nigerians, you should go here:

hard-drugs-hard-mods-hard-cash.com

Its not a real link

PM'ed when the first one joined the list of new users (Link in profile and somewhat "provocative" name).

I think our Mr. Seaton is not home!

The weather was fantastic here in Adelaide as well. It seems to early to be spending a lot of time at the beach though.

Just asking for the sake of asking, but a lot of people have suggested more of a mailing list type structure to the discussion - what about moving to into a Google Group. That was you get the somewhat forum based interface if you want, but you can also subscribe and post via email if you would prefer. Just putting the thought out there.

I'm not a fan of google groups, first of all its a lot harder to keep discussions seperated into sections like we have here for hardware/software etc, also my experience is that you have even less control over spammers on g groups.

Sorry guys (and girls) but have been away, yes long weekend over here and the weather great :).....

I have cleaned up the user list as best I can and have implemented some anti-spam on the registration so hopefully this will slow them down a bit.

Well I agree with the topic so if anyone is willing to take on some moderation roles please pm me what group(s) you are willing to take on in moderation.

Stephen...
